Honor Yourself❤️❤️❤️

I don’t know about you but I don’t always think of loving myself when I’m on my period.  If embracing the idea of loving yourself is a little much then how about honoring yourself and making peace with your period?… Yeah!  I can sign up for that 🙋🏽‍♀️.

#1: Plan Your Month Around Your Period

You can use your calendar or one of those handy apps to know when your next period will most likely arrive.  Once you figure those dates, completely block out that time as time for you.  READ THAT AGAIN!

Unless it’s an emergency or something to nourish you, don’t make any appointments. It’s not the time for anything that will add extra stress to your normal day.  If you think you can’t handle a whole week, start with a few days, and build up to a few more when you are comfortable with it. Your family and friends will thank you.

 

#2: Love Yourself Up

If you can, choose a day for a date night, or lunch, for yourself.  Here’s some date ideas:

*Yoga

*Hairdresser

*Nail Appointment

*Massage

*Catch a bite with your girls.

*Quiet time with your partner

 

#3: Become more aware of your Pre-Menstrual Symptoms

While I don’t experience bad cramps, I get anxious and stressed right before my period.  Most times, I don’t realize I’m raging until my period starts.  I realized that giving myself ‘alone time’, away from others, and switching off social media, really helps me to feel more calm and balanced.

Being aware of your own symptoms and working with them is really important, because it can affect those you love the most.
